| 1. This common sand through can be a a challenging repair. If the surface is smooth you will not need to add any fill material. |
2. Start out with a good pigmented base color using an artist brush or touch-up markers. We recommend Color Touch-up. It is always best to start with a lighter color first and then darken with the addition of grain lines or random stippling. |

| 5. Some repairs take a little more time so be patient. Work the repair making sure not to go too dark. |
6. If the over all repair begins to get too dark, simply pull in a lighter color remembering to pick the lightest background of the surrounding wood color and add to the repair. When you are happy with the background color, stipple in and add grain lines using the Touch-up Dye. Then soften the edges by dabbing the surface with your finger or a Cotton Cloth. This will give the repair a little more depth. |
